Chip Warren is an author, filmmaker, cultural envoy, and advocate for social justice. With a diverse portfolio spanning international diplomacy, criminal justice reform, and education, Chip leverages the power of storytelling to drive social change.

As a cultural envoy with the US State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Chip is currently producing a series of short films showcasing Ukrainian culture and arts. This follows his previous work supporting independent artists in Cuba, demonstrating his commitment to cross-cultural understanding through media.

Chip's filmmaking career encompasses roles as director, producer, and cinematographer for both film and television, with a focus on incarceration and social justice issues. His work has been instrumental in raising public awareness and supporting legislative reform campaigns in California's criminal justice system.

Chip has consulted with numerous nonprofits and NGOs on strategic communication throughout his career. He specializes in leveraging storytelling to effectively communicate organizational missions, demonstrate impact, and advance initiatives.

In 2014, Chip co-founded ManifestWorks, a community program offering job training and career development for individuals impacted by incarceration, foster care, and homelessness. This initiative exemplifies his dedication to creating opportunities for marginalized communities.

As an educator, Chip has led workshops at the college level, in juvenile detention centers, and in prisons. He specializes in mentoring emerging storytellers, with an emphasis on story craft, independent filmmaking, and screenwriting.

Chip is currently splitting his time between the Washington, DC area and Eastern Europe where he is continuing this work at the intersection of art, advocacy, and education.
